Welcome to the Christian Renewal Centre in Rostrevor,
County Down, Northern Ireland

The Community at the Christian Renewal Centre was founded in 1974 as a group of Christians drawn together by God from different Churches both Catholic and Protestant and since then also from other newer expressions of church eg. Community/Fellowship Churches.  We seek, through the power of the Holy Spirit to demonstrate and proclaim the uniting love of Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord.

Helpers can come and experience community life for a period of a few weeks to 2/3 months throughout the year. As the word suggests, 'helpers' work alongside the Community Members, assisting with the practical everyday running of the Centre - from cleaning floors and toilets to making beds and setting tables. They also participate in a rota for phone and door duties along with the rest of the Community members.

There are also possibilities for ministry though not on the same scale as a Community Member. In the midst of all the practical work there are also ample opportunities for Christian growth, and gaining of experience in working at close hand with the very real issues of unity and reconciliation for the body of Christ. We meet each day for corporate Community prayers - helpers may also have the opportunity to lead these prayers.

They receive a small amount of salary, as well as full board and keep, etc., which is paid for by the Centre. We cannot, however, cover travel costs.

Please contact us for further information.
